If you are looking for business leads, contracts or tenders - I have found an easy to use site that is fairly inexpensive. The Public Sector Select List -http://www.selectlist.co.uk gives you access to the TendersGateway to search for tenders of interest and you can set alerts to email. I have been using it for the last few weeks and find it very good.

The Peaks and Plummets of G8 Summits by Jane Air
World leaders travel through blankets
Of Co2 clouds that now crowd
Across the sky’s busy byways
Crisscrossing heaven’s highways
To take their seats at G8 summit week
To seek and tweak an agreement to keep
For a target to meet while temperatures peak
To ever new heights as they speak
A target sum for a future already bleak
From tonne upon tonne of co2 gases spun
Into the sky forming a veil between us and the sun
The trail left behind of damage already done
While every cloud has a co2 lining
World leaders must now discuss combining
The issue of the rising climate climbing
With the political and economic risks of signing
To a target that could stop the non-stop shop
Of their economies from striving and thriving
Driving into a future that is fast, fast arriving
To world that is drying up, to a world that is dying
Deal or no deal
Climate change is real
And so is the poverty wheel
Will the cycle remain the same ?
Will promises be kept, be claimed ?
We have yet to see if there is a deal
Beyond the spiel
There is a quickening tickening
Of the climate timebomb
Ice-shelves are un-thickening
Polar bears cling on strong
To their hopeless fate
While the debate
Between economic wealth
Verus climate health
Rages on and on
In cyber columns
And newspapers pages
Ice shelves that have existed
For ages and ages
Quake, shake and break away
Every day
Islands of ice are forming
From the slices that are falling
There is no time left for stalling
There is no time left for delay…
…and on this G8 day
Will leaders lead the way ?
Will they take heed ?
Will they act with speed ?
But no pact is agreed
As hopes are scuppered
On their last day’s supper
The last chance to pave the way
To save the future is waved away
Instead a promise
To keep a promise
To seek a promise
Is all they have to say
After all…
Tomorrow IS another day…
Come what may…
Tropical storms
Flash floods
Super twisters
Landslides
Rising tides
And more besides
Before they fly
Fly off on their way

Robert Scoble and I are going to give a keynote together at the Blog Business Summit on August 19 in San Francisco. Why? We think that RSS is becoming a critical tool for businesses to communicate with customers and we want that to happen even faster.
Robert will talk about how businesses can use RSS to create strong, ongoing connections with their customers. I’ll talk about how the RSS platform in Windows Vista will make tapping into the power of RSS easier, as well as some of the new opportunities that businesses and bloggers can expect.
Because Microsoft is the exclusive Diamond Level sponsor for this event, I’m happy to offer a discount to IE Blog readers. Just register at http://www.blogbusinesssummit.com/register_microsoft.htm. We’ll also host the Microsoft Blog Business Summit Reception on August 18, with people from our team available to listen to feedback and answer questions about IE and RSS.
